May 2021 – an additional IEEC2 postponement (Now October 2021)
Postponed until Oct 2021
IEEC2 (Now October 2021)
In March 2020 we announced that, due to the impact of Coronavirus – COVID-19 we were postponing the 2nd International Early Engines Conference until November 2020. Following this announcement, and the development of the international emergency, we received much supportive and useful feedback from intended speakers and registered delegates on their likely availability and travel and attendance considerations.
Given the current situation internationally, there was a strong consensus for reconvening the Conference in May 2021 (rather than November 2020), i.e. a year after it was first intended to run. [This is now October 2021]
Bearing this in mind, the new dates reserved with our hosts, the Black Country Living Museum, are 8th-10th October 2021
We are aiming once again to combine the Conference with the BCLM’s “Red by Night” engine-steaming events.
Making alternative Arrangements
We apologise for any inconvenience these unexpected, and largely unavoidable, changes may cause to existing delegates. If anyone would like to cancel existing bookings or wishes to have fees refunded we will gladly oblige. (please provide banking details).
Equally, we trust that by postponing until October 2021, we may help to assuage current concerns regarding attendance and allow new delegates to register with confidence. In the meantime, please keep an eye on the Early Engines Website and emails for updates and new materials as we put the additional time to good use.
We look forward to welcoming everyone later in 2021.
Best Wishes

COVID-19 Coronavirus response
We continue in regular consultation with our host venue, and are following Government announcements closely. Basing decisions and announcements on the latest advice of Public Health England on easing lockdown and supporting effective social distancing, and the need to shield vulnerable groups. The health and wellbeing of all attendees remains at the forefront of our minds at this time.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch at admin@earlyengines with any concerns.
Stay safe everyone.
